AUTOMOTIVE PARTS SPECIALIST

Location:

Chula Vista, CA We are looking to hire an experienced Automotive Parts Specialist for our growing salvage yard operation. This is not a basic sales position — we need someone with real automotive knowledge who understands vehicles, parts compatibility, and how a busy auto dismantling yard operates. The ideal candidate has experience working with used auto parts, salvage yards, dealerships, repair shops, or automotive parts departments. We are looking for someone who can confidently identify parts, assist customers, and help keep operations moving efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers in finding and purchasing used auto parts Answer phones, messages, and customer inquiries Identify vehicle parts and verify compatibility/interchange Work with mechanics, body shops, dealerships, and retail customers Coordinate with yard staff for part pulling and inventory Create invoices and process sales Maintain organized inventory listings and accurate information Help provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

Strong automotive knowledge is

REQUIRED

Experience with used auto parts or salvage yards preferred Ability to identify engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical, and body parts Familiarity with interchange systems or inventory software is a plus Strong communication and multitasking skills Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently Spanish speaking is a plus
