Help the customer define their transportation needs, find the right vehicle to meet those needs, and address customer concerns which stand in the way of a vehicle purchasing decision. Follow our sales process and embody the CarShop Philosophy. The CarShop Sales Consultant operates from our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring for the customer. Answer sales calls and respond to internet inquiries. Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network. Provide a quality customer service experience to our valued customers Continuously contribute to a positive and encouraging atmosphere, with readiness to assist customers and fellow associates in the delivery of our products and services. Previous retail customer service experience preferred Able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug testing, and hold a valid driver's license with a good driving history. #CSSCCompetencies Able to establish personal sales goals and implement a plan of action to achieve goals Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact retail automotive sales Computer proficiency Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization Supervisory Responsibility None unless otherwise stated Work Environment/Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light Work- lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. This position requires a good deal of walking or standing, 50 percent of the time or greater will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift This position may include prolonged periods of sitting with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls This position requires climb, stoop, and kneel This position requires the ability to hear and talk This position requires the ability to have sufficient foot/hand/eye coordination to safely drive a vehicle Will spend time out-doors, under varying climate conditions, subject to the elements, and may experience extreme heat and extreme cold and will also spend time indoors in air-conditioned areas During winter months, will assist in cleaning vehicles from snow if applicable to the local climate Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Schedule may vary from week to week depending on operational needs. Works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Required Education and Experience No prior experience or training is required High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Education and Experience One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Certification/Licenses/Registrations) Valid Driver's License Driving Record the meets insurance requirements and company policy Current and active Sales License, in states where applicableSimilar remote jobs
