Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Service Advisor and play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient service operations. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, recommending necessary services and repairs, and coordinating with the service team to ensure timely completion of work.

Duties:

• Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
• Utilize automotive sales skills to upsell recommended services or repairs.
• Coordinate with the service team to schedule and prioritize work orders.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding service recommendations, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist in identifying vehicle issues.
• Recommend and explain services such as shocks/struts replacement, brake repairs, oil changes, and other maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, services performed, and vehicle history.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in automotive sales or service advisory roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in upselling techniques and promoting additional services.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics to assist in identifying vehicle issues.
• Familiarity with dealership operations and service procedures is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively.
• Understanding of basic mechanical concepts related to vehicle maintenance such as shocks/struts, brake repairs, oil changes, etc.
• Certification as a mechanic or in automotive-related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
