Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, differentials, and powertrain systems. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments to complete repairs efficiently. Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features like lane departure warnings and collision avoidance systems. Conduct wheel alignments and suspension adjustments to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety standards. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to guide repairs on GM vehicles or similar models. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Extensive mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, diesel engines, and automotive electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software for efficient repairs. Familiarity with ADAS technology, schematics reading, wheel alignment techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Knowledge of auto estimating processes and parts ordering systems for streamlined workflow.
