Job Description
Job Summary Join our team at MPT Auto Service as an Automotive Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle care and repair services. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep vehicles running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our service department. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment while continuously expanding your automotive knowledge. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, and other mechanical systems with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to execute repairs efficiently. Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems on any and all vehicle makes. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing professional recommendations. Maintain detailed service records, perform auto estimating tasks accurately, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and protocols. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong foundation in automotive repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, powertrain components, transmissions, and engine repair. Skilled in reading schematics and using diagnostic software for precise troubleshooting. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Mechanical knowledge that encompasses vehicle maintenance procedures across various makes and models. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus. This role is ideal for motivated mechanics eager to grow their expertise in a supportive environment that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Computerized alignment experience is considered and asset in this position but is not required. Training is available in this area.
