Automotive Technician

About us We are a family owned and operated car repair shop and towing company, open since 1975. We are one of the busiest independent repair shops in Kalamazoo County, and provide a comfortable environment to work. We have a large retail customer base, and have several large commercial accounts that keep us busy. Our shop is open Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. We are a full-service shop, providing services from quick oil changes all the way up to and including full engine and transmission swaps. We have equipment to service light and medium duty vehicles, including mounting 19.5" tires. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This would be a full time position performing repairs on a variety of different vehicles. Pay is negotiable and very competitive. A good candidate would have several years of experience performing repairs on vehicles; including good diagnostic skills, knowledge and understanding of complex vehicle systems, and knowledge of automotive electrical systems. The candidate would be expected to have (at least) Michigan Mechanic certifications, or be able to get their certifications within 60 days of hire. Knowledge and experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and medium to heavy duty trucks would be a huge plus, and would be heavily considered in the hiring process. You would be required to pass a driving record check in order to drive company vehicles, as well as test driving customer vehicles.
