What will you do? Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning to specification Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing Propose creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time Maintain a clean and organized shop environment What skills do you bring to the role? ASE certification preferred with 2
  • 5 years of experience required State and Emissions License preferred Strong work ethic: reliable and dependable Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C equipment Strong communication and customer service skills Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service Positive, "can-do" attitude Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology Additional Information The essential functions of this position require working with hazardous or flammable materials and completing tasks where a lapse in attention could result in injury, including operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles.

Workspace is covered but may involve various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a regular basis.   • -Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed.
This position will require the employee to be standing for prolonged periods of time. This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis. This position involves repetitive motion. This position requires the ability to talk and hear. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Work evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Certification/Licenses/Registrations) ASE Certification is preferred
