Job Description
Overview We are opening a brand-new, automotive repair facility and are looking for a skilled, motivated Lead Technician to be our very first employee, In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles in top condition, providing them with confidence and peace of mind on the road. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair techniques. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology to calibrate sensors and perform system updates for modern vehicles. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery. Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and modern automotive technology integration. Ability to read technical manuals accurately and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues efficiently. Excellent mechanical knowledge complemented by strong customer service skills to foster positive client relationships. Experience with auto estimating software and working on GM vehicles is a plus.
