Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment where technical expertise and customer service are highly valued. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system inspections. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and calibrate systems as needed. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems. Conduct vehicle inspections to assess condition and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers regarding repairs needed or completed. Assist with auto estimating processes when required and provide excellent customer service throughout the repair process. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment tools. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake systems, wheel alignments, and general repairs. Experience working on GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Ability to diagnose complex issues using automotive diagnostics software and interpret schematics effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus. Knowledge of automotive service standards and safety protocols is essential. Pay:
$24.75 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
