Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automotive Title Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage the accurate processing of vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your expertise will facilitate smooth transactions for our customers and support the overall efficiency of our dealership operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of vehicle documentation, combining legal knowledge with exceptional customer service skills to deliver a seamless experience for clients and colleagues alike. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation with precision and attention to detail Maintain accounting schedules, make journal entry adjustments as needed Compile and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work while regularly following up on outstanding titles Maintain organized records of all transactions, including title applications, transfers, and lien releases Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through the title process and answering inquiries professionally and efficiently Stay updated on changes in title laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and accuracy Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience with VITU is preferred Dealertrack experience is preferred Proven experience in title processing within an automotive dealership environment is preferred. Strong research skills utilizing state databases and legal resources to verify information accurately Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Familiarity with dealership processes and office procedures related to document management and legal compliance Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple transactions efficiently Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulations and maintain high standards of accuracy in all work tasks and willingness to collaborate with colleagues at all levels and take direction Join us in this engaging role where your expertise will directly impact our customers' experience while supporting our commitment to operational excellence.
