Job Description
Position AV Technician Hourly:
$19.86 Full-Time + Shift Differential -Negotiable Location :
Gaming Division Reports to :IT Manager Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and administer LAN/WAN hardware and software, including data and voice servers, printers, VoIP phones, and related peripherals. Maintain and monitor network and server performance; troubleshoot issues as they arise to ensure optimal operation. Prepare and update comprehensive network and server documentation, including system diagrams and procedure manuals. Assess hardware and software requirements, recommending appropriate usage, configurations, and upgrades.Research and Procurement:
Research and recommend necessary updates to hardware or software to meet operational needs. Coordinate maintenance schedules for network hardware and voice services, communicating effectively with staff and users. Respond to Help Desk inquiries for problem resolution, documenting all actions taken to provide clear records of support. Assist the IT Director in developing and maintaining business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans. Manage and support all client/server applications installed on servers and workstations, ensuring compliance with licensing and registration requirements. Administer system-wide backups and maintain the integrity of the Active Directory network. Provide training and orientation for users on network resources and software applications, enhancing overall user proficiency. Monitor network usage for unauthorized access and security issues, reporting findings to ensure compliance with security protocols. Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 operations of the data center and address user needs promptly. Adhere to all established rules, regulations, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the IT Department, including workplace policies and the Casino's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy. Attend job-related meetings and training sessions to maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge. Complete all other assigned duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team objectives.Qualifications & Education :
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in a computer or business program, or equivalent current certifications in a related field. Minimum of one year of experience with audio/visual testing equipment and specifications. Technical aptitude and understanding of audio/visual equipment, computer hardware, and software. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently. Strong commitment to team building and collaboration. Demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory work record. Valid Wisconsin driver's license; must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License. Willingness to submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB). Maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record. Pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening. Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work with diverse personalities and foster a positive atmosphere. Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and self-development. Willingness to attend all applicable training sessions. Must be eligible for coverage under the employer's liability insurance.Work Conditions :
Ability to frequently walk, sit, stand, and use hands for handling or feeling. Must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work is performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level; evening/weekend shifts may be required.
