Awake Overnight Caregiver Port Townsend

Family Best Care is hiring a reliable in home caregiver for an ongoing awake overnight client care assignment in Port Townsend. This role is best for a caregiver who is dependable, communicates clearly, responds promptly, and understands the expectations of awake overnight care. The caregiver assigned to this position must remain awake, alert, and available to support the client throughout the full shift. Because this is an overnight assignment, reliability and consistency are especially important. The client depends on stable care coverage, and frequent call offs or last minute schedule changes can create serious disruption. Credential Requirement This position requires an active Washington Home Care Aide credential, also known as HCA, or an active Nursing Assistant Certified credential, also known as NAC or CNA. Friday overnight Saturday overnight Sunday overnight Applicants must be available for the listed schedule. Shift times are determined by client care needs and must be worked as assigned. What We Are Looking For The ideal caregiver for this role will be: Reliable and consistent with attendance Comfortable working awake overnight shifts Able to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift Professional and calm in communication Responsive to calls, texts, and schedule updates from the office Comfortable following a care plan and documenting care accurately Patient, observant, and respectful of client routines Committed to longer term client care when the assignment is a good fit What You Will Do Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as needed Provide medication reminders Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention as appropriate Complete light housekeeping tasks related to the client's care Monitor client safety during the overnight shift Follow the care plan and document care accurately Communicate client updates, concerns, and schedule needs to the office promptly Remain awake, alert, and available for the full shift Pay and Benefits Pay range: $22.00 to $26.50 per hour Overtime paid at 1.5x Holiday pay for company recognized holidays Health insurance available for caregivers who consistently work 35 or more hours per week Ongoing weekly client schedule when available Support from a responsive office team Requirements Active Washington HCA, CNA, or NAC credential Current TB test or screening Current CPR certification Current Food Worker Card Valid government issued photo ID Reliable transportation to and from shifts Reliable phone access for work related communication Ability to complete onboarding documents if selected Availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday awake overnight shifts Apply today!
