In this energetic role, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing delicious small plates and ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your culinary expertise will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, all while working in a lively, fast-paced environment that values teamwork and innovation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, menu planning, and food safety while contributing to a vibrant culinary atmosphere. Duties Prepare and assemble small plates and appetizers according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas for small plates and seasonal offerings Handle food with care, maintaining proper food safety and hygiene practices at all times Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing prep stations, and ensuring timely meal preparation Execute food handling procedures efficiently during busy service hours to ensure quality and consistency Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal assembly and maintain a clean, organized workspace Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing dishes in accordance with event specifications Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within restaurant or food service environments Excellent knife skills and knowledge of culinary techniques for small plates and appetizers Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment demonstrating reliability and efficiency Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and serving staff This role is perfect for passionate culinary professionals eager to grow their skills in a vibrant setting.
