Back of House Team Member

Overview:

Jasmine Thai and Sushi in Murray is looking to hire an Experienced Grill/Wok Cook or Sushi Cbef to our Back of House team! Our Asian Cuisine cooks are responsible for prepping, cooking, and preparing a variety of dishes including Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and other Asian inspired items. If you have grill, wok, or sushi rolling experience in a fast paced full-service dining restaurant then we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook authentic Asian dishes (especially Thai, Japanese, and Chinese-style recipes) with attention to detail, flavor, and presentation Work stations may include wok stir fry , grill , or kitchen prep as needed Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and kitchen standards to ensure high-quality and consistent output Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment following health department and food safety regulations Collaborate with kitchen team to provide timely and efficient service during busy lunch and dinner shifts Practice proper ingredient rotation (FIFO) , storage, and labeling Support inventory management by alerting managers of low supplies or ingredient needs

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience cooking in busy dining restaurant preferred Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Thai, Japanese, or Asian-style kitchen experience is a plus Hands-on experience with wok stir fry, grill, or sushi Familiarity with ServSafe or other food safety guidelines preferred High attention to detail in plating and food consistency Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy, high-volume kitchen Team-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently when needed Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime if needed Reliable and Dependable with teamwork mindset
