To Be Determined Job Description White Deer ISD has an opening for a highly qualified Band Director to teach band 5th grade- 12th for the 26-27 school year. White Deer has an award-winning band program which is the source of great pride in the community. The Band Hall at White Deer is state of the art. We are currently paying $6,000 above base and offer $300 a month towards insurance. Come join our great team here in White Deer.

Qualifications:

• Must hold valid Texas Teaching certificate for Music EC-12.
• Must be Highly Qualified Job Description to include, but not limited to the following with the expectation that the band program will continue to develop, grow and excel:
• Teaching/directing solo and ensemble practice before/after school.
• Competing in band contests, festivals, and competitions that showcase the students' talents.
• Preparing bands for special concerts and performances throughout the year
• Managing band budgets, activity accounts, and fundraising activities
• Work with other district teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students to be successful. Job Skills/experiences preferred:
• Experience as a band director
• Experience teaching all-level music
• Experience competing in music contests festivals, and/or competitions
• Self-motivated
• Positive Attitude
