This position plays an important role in helping events run smoothly by assisting with event setup, food preparation support, kitchen organization, and maintaining clean and welcoming event spaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, events, teamwork, and working in a community environment. Responsibilities Include Event & Food Preparation Support Assist with basic food preparation for events (hot and cold items) Prepare and arrange trays (desserts, fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, etc.) Heat or bake prepared food items as needed Assist with beverage and coffee service setup Kitchen & Facility Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas Clean sinks, countertops, refrigerators, and work areas Sweep and mop kitchen floors Operate and clean dishwashing equipment Clean coffee machines and beverage stations Restock kitchens and supply areas Inventory & Supplies Monitor and restock kitchen supplies and paper goods Help maintain kitchen inventory lists Notify supervisor when supplies are low Event Setup & Breakdown Assist with room setup and breakdown for events Set and remove linens, décor, and event items Work with guest caterers to ensure kitchen guidelines are followed Work Environment This position works closely with staff, clergy, congregation members, volunteers, vendors, and community organizations. Strong teamwork, communication, and professionalism are essential. Qualifications Strong customer service and hospitality mindset Ability to work in a team environment Organized and detail-oriented Ability to follow instructions and work independently Comfortable working in a kitchen environment Ability to lift and move event supplies and equipment Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Banquet, catering, restaurant, or event experience is helpful but not required To Apply Please submit your resume and availability.
