Bar Manager

The Miners 1928 Hotel | Pottsville, PA Opening June 2026 We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee operations for our hotel bar/lounge and on-site venue events, including weddings and private functions. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is excited to help launch one of the premier boutique hotels and event spaces in the area. This position offers the opportunity to build the bar program from the ground up and create a memorable guest experience from day one. Responsibilities Oversee daily bar operations for both the hotel lounge and venue events Collaborate with the General Manager and ownership to develop innovative drink menus, elevated presentations, and distinctive bar experiences that set our property apart Bring forward fresh ideas to enhance guest engagement, service style, and overall bar atmosphere Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising bartenders while remaining an active, hands-on presence behind the bar Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls to support profitability Ensure full compliance with liquor laws, safety regulations, and service standards Coordinate seamless bar operations for weddings, private events, and special functions Assist with menu development, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency Maintain exceptional standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on hospitality and guest satisfaction Position includes Tips (can add additional income to base) Ideal Candidate Has Prior bar management experience Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Solid knowledge of inventory management and cost control Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events A hands-on, team-oriented leadership style A passion for hospitality and creating standout guest experiences RAMP Certified Full-time position, Excellent Growth and Benefits Join us in building something truly special and help define the bar experience at one of the area's most anticipated boutique hotel openings.

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
