Bar Manager

A busy bar located in Winthrop, NY is seeking a bar manager.

Bar Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Training and managing bar employees to ensure consistency across all staff Recruiting and hiring bar employees in conjunction with the owner Resolving conflicts and supporting a positive customer experience Ensuring employees and you adhere to local, state and federal regulations for alcohol service, safety and food handling Monitoring daily operations and alerting the owner if we are running low on stock or out of an item. Making an employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage Planning, marketing, and participating in promotional events Create social media content for Facebook and build a following on Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and any other social media platform that is relevant. Knowledge of POS operations Come to work with an enthusiastic and positive attitude Be able to make good judgement calls under pressure

Pay:

Work schedule:

Outside of shifts you assign yourself, you are expected to stop in daily when we are open and observe the bartender(s) working to ensure proper pours, check accuracy, policy enforcement, and overall customer happiness. Must be available during the weekdays, weekends, and holidays that we are open. It is expected that the bar manager will be there on the busiest day of the week - Saturday.

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 3 years bartending experience Knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes Have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Honest, trustworthy, people-oriented, reliable

Preferred Qualification:

In addition to the minimum qualifications: Have bar manager experience Experience using Toast POS system Experience using Sling Willingness to cross train to cook in the kitchen While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20-30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 35 pounds.

Pay:

$11.00 - $20.00 per hour
