Barista

Join Our Coffee Team! Kissing Camels Coffee at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Barista to join our Food Service team. In this role, you'll craft quality coffee beverages, serve guests visiting one of Colorado's most iconic destinations, and help create a welcoming café experience. What You'll Do Take customer orders while paying attention to details such as coffee blends, milk preferences, and sweetness levels Answer questions about menu items and offer recommendations Prepare espresso drinks and coffee beverages following recipes Serve beverages and prepared food items such as popcorn, pastries, and muffins Scoop and serve ice cream Process customer payments (cash and credit cards) Maintain cleanliness of the café and service areas Ensure brewing equipment is operating properly and report maintenance needs Follow food safety and sanitation regulations Communicate customer feedback to supervisors and managers What We're Looking For Previous experience as a barista or in a café environment Experience with coffee brewing equipment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Basic math and cash handling skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work flexible shifts Must be at least 16 years old to operate coffee brewing equipment Bonus Qualifications Prior experience as a Starbucks barista Experience in high-volume café environments Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods Frequent use of hands to prepare drinks and handle food items Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs Occasional use of a step stool or ladder The work environment includes coffee and kitchen equipment with moderate to loud noise levels.
