Barista/Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista Manager to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the café environment. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning and basic maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Provide assistance to customers by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations based on their preferences. Train and educate your team on process and operations, opening shift for new employees Communicate information and any changes to your team Review the barista schedule, managing shift swaps or call out coverages Manage cash for your location Supply pickup once a week Errand running for needed inventory during working hours First to fill in for call outs and first point of contact for employee questions/issues Qualifications Previous experience in a coffee stand or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices is an asset. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A passion for coffee and the food industry, with a desire to learn more about beverage preparation and customer service techniques. Previous Management preferred.
