Job Description

Duties:
  • Develop and implement basketball training programs for athletes of various ages and skill levels
  • Teach fundamental basketball skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
  • Plan and conduct practice sessions to improve individual and team performance
  • Provide guidance and instruction during games to help players execute strategies effectively
  • Evaluate players' strengths and weaknesses to provide personalized feedback and improvement plans
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate schedules, tournaments, and events
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing rules and implementing proper injury prevention measures
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience coaching basketball or working with students in a sports or physical education setting
  • Strong knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staff members
  • Ability to demonstrate and teach basketball skills in a clear and concise manner
  • Patience and strong behavior management skills to work with athletes of different ages and abilities
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge or experience in other sports such as swimming, martial arts, cheerleading, or judo is a plus
