Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate healthcare professional to join our team as a Baylor Night RN! In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. Your expertise will support a wide range of clinical procedures, ensuring high-quality treatment and positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following strict aseptic techniques. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding, and wound care in diverse settings like hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities. Manage emergency situations by providing critical care interventions such as airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or Athenahealth while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and basic imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in specialties such as cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, behavioral health, geriatrics, or trauma medicine to develop individualized care plans. Support discharge planning and case management efforts to ensure seamless transitions across care settings such as hospice & palliative medicine or post-acute care environments. Experience Proven experience working in acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers with familiarity in trauma medicine and emergency medicine protocols. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Demonstrated proficiency in performing invasive procedures like venipuncture, catheterization (urinary or vascular), and sterile processing techniques. Background working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator use), geriatrics (memory care & dementia), individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring long-term assisted living support. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and familiarity with NCQA standards for quality assurance. Experience in specialized fields such as occupational health, home & community care, hospice & palliative medicine, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Critical care transport experience or involvement in hospital-based emergency room settings is a plus. Join us to make a lasting impact through compassionate patient-centered care!
