AM or PM Shift Introduction Join our compassionate team as a Baylor Weekend Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Resident Assistant (RA) and play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Join us on weekend shifts to improve the quality of life for those in our community, while enjoying a consistent schedule and a collaborative, caring work environment. Job Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and patient care tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following facility protocols and infection control measures. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure cohesive care. Document patient information, care provided, and observations in medical records accurately and promptly. Respond to patient call lights and requests promptly and courteously. Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients requiring help with nutrition. Support patients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and ambulation. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain current certification and skills. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of patient care areas and equipment. Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families. Follow all facility policies and procedures, including those related to safety and patient confidentiality. Job Requirements Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience as a Resident Assistant (RA) High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in longterm care or assisted living Ability to work on the Baylor weekend schedule (typically three 8hour shifts) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring patients Compassionate and empathetic personality Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions Basic computer skills for documentation purposes CPR and First Aid certification preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsABOUT US
