Beekeeper (Part-Time) Lavender Farm in Ellicott City

Job Description:

We are a small lavender farm located in Ellicott City, MD, and we are looking for an experienced beekeeper to help maintain and care for our hives. This is a part-time position, requiring visits once or twice per week. You will be responsible for the regular inspection, maintenance, and overall health management of approximately 7 active hives. We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years of active beekeeping experience who are comfortable working independently and can confidently manage hive health, seasonal needs, and basic troubleshooting.

Compensation:

$40/hour Responsibilities include: Routine hive inspections Monitoring colony health and queen performance Managing pests (including varroa mites) using appropriate methods Supporting honey production and seasonal hive management Advising on best practices for hive growth and sustainability

Requirements:
