Before & After School Teacher with Associates or Bachelors Degree 25 hours week Morrisville, PA 19067 From $20 an hour - Part-time From $20 an hour - Part-time Job Summary Join our vibrant educational team as a Before & After School Teacher, dedicated to nurturing and inspiring children during their crucial early years. This part-time position offers 25 hours per week, providing a dynamic environment where your passion for working with children and your background in early childhood education will make a meaningful difference. You will create engaging activities, promote positive behavior, and support children's social and emotional development in a safe, caring setting. Your role is vital in fostering a love for learning and helping children thrive both academically and personally. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including arts, crafts, sports, and educational games Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment Supervise children during arrival, dismissal, snack times, homework assistance, and recreational activities Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that align with developmental milestones and educational standards Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting preferred Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Experience in early childhood education or childhood development is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with diverse needs is a plus Background in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling can enhance your ability to engage children creatively and supportively This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while working in a supportive team environment.
