Behavior Technician

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with behavioral needs in various settings such as homes, day care, and community.
• Implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by the supervising behavior analyst.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising behavior analyst.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide leadership and guidance to direct care staff in managing challenging behaviors.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals under your care.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments is a plus.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors and implement behavior support plans effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
