Harding | Harding Behavioral Health Urgent Care Scope of Position OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults in central Ohio. We offer more treatment options and a more experienced and diversified staff than any other psychiatric or behavioral healthcare provider in the area. All of our psychiatric emergency, behavioral health urgent care, inpatient, outpatient, IOP, and partial hospitalization services include a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis from a qualified clinician and implementation of an individualized treatment plan. We offer specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing psychiatric emergency & crisis, need for behavioral health urgent care, mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, trauma

• and stress-related disorders, and sexual dysfunction.

We offer specialty programs in women's behavioral health, addictions, trauma, adolescent school-based, and neurocognitive disorders. Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive addiction services for adults in central Ohio, offering specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing a substance use disorder. We offer traumatic brain injury specific treatment, the latest Medicated Assisted Treatment for opiate and alcohol use disorders. Talbot offers detox, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC),and many outpatient and continuing care groups. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient-focused care through the integrated skills of all treatment team members. The BHUC-Talbot Behavioral Health (BH) Clinician 2

• Care Management serves as a critical part of our clinical team.

OSU Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) provides short‑term outpatient services that bridge gaps in mental health and substance use treatment. Operated by OSUWMC and Ohio State's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, BHUC offers adults immediate support for mental health or substance use concerns through walk‑in or scheduled visits—either in person or via telehealth. It serves as an alternative to the Emergency Department for routine or urgent behavioral health needs and provides rapid‑access follow‑up appointments within seven days of psychiatric, withdrawal management inpatient or ED discharge. Locations BHUC

• Harding 1st Floor, Harding Hospital, 1670 Upham Drive, Columbus, OH 43210 Primary focus: mental health care with additional substance use support. BHUC
• Talbot 2nd Floor, Talbot Hall, 1441 Phale D. Hale Drive, Columbus, OH 43203 Primary focus: substance use treatment with mental health support. Patients with mental health concerns alone may also be seen here. BHUC
• Powell (Opening August 2026) Outpatient Care Powell, 7171 Sawmill Parkway, Powell, OH 43065 Focus under development; will align with the existing BHUC programs.

In January 2026, BHUC expanded to a second location on the first floor of Talbot Hall at OSU East Hospital, with a third site planned at OSU Outpatient Care Powell in August 2026. Together, the three locations operate under a unified framework with differentiated focuses on mental health and substance use treatment. This structure expands access, reduces fragmentation, and better supports patients with complex behavioral health needs. All BHUC locations focus on stabilizing immediate concerns, connecting patients to long term treatment resources both within and outside OSUWMC. Care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers, nurses, psychiatrists, addiction medicine physicians, independently licensed behavioral health therapists, bh clinician care-management, and certified peer supporters. Services—offered in person or virtually—include medication management, brief psychotherapy, care-management, and other short-term interventions. BHUC provides care for up to two months and is not intended for long term treatment. BHUC-Care Management BH Clinicians are licensed providers who function as members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. They provide time-limited care management, crisis intervention, resource linkage, brief therapeutic intervention, and follow-up care coordination for patients seen in BHUC-Harding, Talbot, Powell and related Talbot and Harding programs. Position Summary Under the clinical supervision of an independently licensed social worker (LISW), professional counselor (LPCC), the BH Clinician 2

• Care Management provides care-management and, as needed, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, and brief therapeutic interventions, for behavioral health patients seen in BHUC locations and related Harding and Talbot programs.

The BHUC-Talbot Care Management Clinician 2 facilitates safe stabilization and transition of patients to and from BHUC to appropriate levels of care, including withdrawal management, residential, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, inpatient admission, or community services. Responsibilities include coordinating care, linking patients to community resources, supporting continuity of care, conducting assessments, developing treatment, initiating short-term psychosocial intervention, and discharge plans. The BHUC-Talbot Care Management Clinician 2 collaborates with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and other mental health and substance use disorder professionals to achieve patient care outcomes, enhance patient engagement in treatment, reduce unnecessary hospitalizations or readmissions, avoid relapse, maintain risk reduction, promote efficient use of healthcare resources, and facilitate linkage to social determinants of health. The role also requires maintaining knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorder best practices, regulatory requirements, and community resources. Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:

Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling or education accepted by the State of Ohio for licensure. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II or III (LCDC) required. LPC or LSW Preferred. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Ongoing:

Maintain licensure(s), Maintain credentials and CBL's. Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
