Job Description
Job description: PRN Staff needed for weekend coverage for days, afternoon and mid schedule. Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals facing behavioral challenges, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective intervention techniques and personalized care plans. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral principles and demonstrate empathy and patience in all interactions. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional. Collect and document data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions. Provide direct support to clients in various settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Assist in crisis intervention and management, employing de-escalation techniques as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to confidentiality protocols. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavior management and patient care. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings. Experience in addiction counseling or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong skills in crisis intervention and management, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of Residential care setting practices and behavior management techniques. Ability to effectively collect data and analyze behavioral patterns for informed decision-making. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
