Patient Care Technician / Behavioral Health Technician Position Overview Responsible for supporting high-quality patient care by providing supervision, guidance, and assistance to patients while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities Provide supervision and support to patients during daily activities as part of the care team Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic unit environment Monitor patient behavior and promptly report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse Document patient interactions, observations, and care activities accurately in medical records Assist with vital signs, specimen collection, and activities of daily living under RN supervision Observe and document patient activity, including any required specialized monitoring Follow all emergency procedures and ensure equipment is available and functioning properly Collaborate with nursing leadership and team members to maintain a structured treatment environment Support onboarding and training of new staff as needed Complete all required documentation and paperwork in a timely and compliant manner Qualifications Experience in behavioral health or a related setting preferred Strong communication and observation skills Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in high-pressure situations Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate documentation Team-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and care Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $39520.00/yr.
