Summary As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you'll be a vital part of our treatment team, supporting clients through detox, residential, and dual diagnosis programs. You'll help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while assisting clients in their recovery journey. Shifts Overnight 11pm-7:30am Responsibilities Build rapport with clients through empathetic interaction, while monitoring behaviors and participation in treatment activities. Assist in executing individualized treatment plans and facilitate therapeutic groups and activities in collaboration with clinical staff. Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and model positive behaviors to support overall client wellness. Provide clients with education on addiction, recovery, coping strategies, and life skills to support long-term success. Respond to emergencies using approved de-escalation techniques and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure safety. Maintain accurate, timely records of client progress, incidents, and interactions; contribute to team meetings and care planning. Communicate effectively with peers, clinical staff, and client support networks to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in behavioral health and substance use treatment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Must pass pre-employment screenings. Valid California driver's license (required). Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is a plus, but not required.
