Job Description
We are seeking a calm, consistent, and reliable Direct Support Professional to work one-on-one with a young woman in her 20s in a structured residential setting. This role is best suited for someone who is steady under pressure, not easily reactive, and comfortable supporting individuals with higher behavioral needs . The right candidate values routine, follows support plans closely, and can remain composed while helping de-escalate challenging moments. You will play a key role in supporting her independence, maintaining a safe and predictable environment, and helping her engage in activities she enjoys, including yoga and time in the community. Key Responsibilities Structured Daily Support Provide hands-on assistance with daily living tasks while maintaining consistency, routine, and clear expectations. Community Engagement Support safe, planned outings that encourage independence and confidence in the community. Behavioral Support & De-escalation Follow established behavioral strategies, recognize early signs of escalation, and respond in a calm, proactive manner. Health & Safety Oversight Administer medications as trained and ensure a safe environment at all times. Accurate Documentation Complete daily notes and reports in a timely and detailed manner using a digital system. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Calm, patient, and emotionally regulated Able to follow structure without needing constant direction Comfortable setting boundaries and maintaining consistency Observant and proactive rather than reactive Reliable and punctual with strong accountability Qualifications & Certifications To ensure quality support, candidates must have one of the following :
Nursing:
RN, LPN, or CNA Behavioral:
RBT or BCaBA Specialized:
NADD Certification Experience:
At least 2 years working with individuals with behavioral or complex support needs Additional Requirements Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle Ability to pass background check and drug screening Comfortable working independently in a residential setting Strong communication and basic tech skills for documentationSchedule & Compensation Hours:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)Flexibility:
