Job Description
General Manager
Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop Pay:
$1,000- 1,100/week + benefits If you've closed a bar, you can run this shop.
- nights, weekends, holidays, and the occasional "it's 11pm and the line is still out the door" situation. The difference is the product is ice cream, the guests are usually thrilled to be there, and you're building something with a team that actually sticks around. We're looking for a General Manager who's done the work in restaurants, bars, or high-volume retail
- and is ready to own a business, not just manage a shift. The Reality of the Role This is not a 9-to-5. Spring and summer are our Super Bowl, and our best GMs are present when it counts
- weekend nights, holiday rushes, peak season slams. If you've spent years closing a bar or managing a restaurant dinner service, you already have the DNA for this. What's different here: The guests are happy before they walk in the door The product is ice cream
- it's hard to have a bad shift You're building a team culture, not just running through a service There's a real ownership mentality expected
- you're running a business, not punching a clock
Schedule:
Full-time, nights and weekends required, peak season (Spring-Fall) is high intensity. This is a role for someone who does their best work when the shop is packed. What You'll Own Full day-to-day operations across the shop: staffing, scheduling, inventory, and execution Hiring, training, and developing your team- from first-day scooper to shift lead Delivering a guest experience that keeps people coming back Managing sales, labor costs, and daily financials with real accountability Setting the tone for culture

- 1,100/week base Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (2 weeks accrued, 1 week rollover) Mileage reimbursement when traveling between locations Free ice cream (this one's non-negotiable) A real path to multi-unit leadership for GMs who grow with us What You Bring 2+ years of management experience in restaurants, bars, hospitality, or high-volume retail
- and you've actually closed, not just supervised Experience building and leading a team, not just scheduling one Comfort with numbers: you've owned labor costs, managed a till, read a report, and acted on what you saw Strong communication
- direct, warm, and clear with both your team and your guests The ability to hold high standards without losing the human element Reliability and composure when things get busy and messy (and they will) A genuine love of people
- guests and teammates alike A strong fit looks like: a bar manager ready to step away from late-night alcohol service, a restaurant shift lead who's been carrying GM responsibilities without the title, or a hospitality veteran who wants daytime energy with some evening intensity.
