Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in jewelry repair, design, and craftsmanship, with a commitment to excellence and precision. This role requires both technical expertise and creativity, ensuring that every piece we handle reflects the high standards of Dan Martin Jewelers. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide range of bench jeweler tasks, including: Ring sizing, chain and clasp repair, stone setting, polishing, and refinishing Soldering, re-tipping prongs, and rebuilding worn settings Jewelry cleaning and inspection to ensure quality and durability Work with sales staff to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional results Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and workspace Assist with custom design projects, from concept to finished piece, as needed Ensure timely completion of all repair and custom work orders Provide expert knowledge and craftsmanship that supports our reputation for quality Qualifications Proven experience as a bench jeweler, goldsmith, or similar role Proficiency in jewelry repair techniques, stone setting, soldering, and polishing Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in custom design work Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members Knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry construction What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and performance Incentives for high-quality work and customer satisfaction Opportunities for professional growth and development, including training in advanced jewelry techniques A positive, supportive workplace culture where your craftsmanship is valued Long-term career potential with a respected, family-focused jeweler
