As a Bereavement Coordinator, you will play a vital role in guiding families and loved ones through grief, ensuring they feel supported, heard, and never alone. Trio Hospice/Jet Health Inc. is seeking a PRN/part-time empathetic, resilient, and passionate Bereavement Coordinator dedicated to helping others navigate life's most difficult moments, we invite you to join our mission-driven team in our Denton, TX hospice office. Requirements What You'll Do Provide compassionate bereavement support to families and caregivers before and after loss Develop and implement individualized bereavement care plans in accordance with regulatory guidelines Maintain ongoing follow-up with families for at least 13 months post-loss (hospice standard) Facilitate grief support groups, memorial services, and educational outreach Assess bereavement risk levels and coordinate referrals to community resources when needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient and family care Educate staff on grief, loss, and bereavement best practices Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field (master's preferred) Experience in hospice, palliative care, counseling, or behavioral health strongly preferred Strong understanding of grief processes across diverse cultures and populations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation accuracy Licensure / Requirements LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or similar licensure preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, auto insurance (for field-based visits, if applicable) Benefits for Full-time employees Competitive pay Full benefits package, including medical, dental and vision Short-term, long-term disability, cancer, accident and critical illness available Supportive, collaborative team culture PTO after 60 days Paid holidays Purpose-driven work that truly impacts lives Opportunities for growth Mileage Reimbursement Wellness and discount plans 401k Company paid life insurance We are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that honors dignity, respect, and healing.
