Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual Children's Advocate to join our team and champion the well-being of children and families. In this vital role, you will serve as a compassionate liaison, providing support, guidance, and advocacy for children navigating complex situations. Your bilingual skills will enable you to connect with diverse communities, ensuring every child's voice is heard and their safety prioritized. Responsibilities Act as a primary point of contact for children and families, offering culturally sensitive support in both English and the second language. Assist children involved in child protective services by providing emotional support, advocacy, and resource navigation. Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to stabilize children experiencing urgent or traumatic situations. Collaborate with social workers, family law professionals, and community agencies to coordinate care plans and ensure child safety. Facilitate conflict management between family members or caregivers while promoting positive behavioral health outcomes. Document case progress accurately and maintain detailed records of interactions, assessments, and interventions. Educate families about child welfare policies, behavioral health resources, and available community services. Requirements Fluency in English and the second language (e.g., Spanish), with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Prior experience working with children in settings such as social work, childcare, or child protective services. Knowledge of child welfare laws, family law procedures, and child protection protocols. Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively. Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and conflict management strategies tailored for children and families. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
