Quality Control Technician

Job Summary Become part of the future of renewable energy with CSS Solar. CSS Solar is a solar field subcontractor supporting solar projects across the United States. As a QC Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring installations meet company quality standards by inspecting materials and workmanship against approved "golden row" standards, installation drawings, and project specifications. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who are committed to safety, quality, and supporting the growth of the solar industry. Key Responsibilities Understand and interpret construction plans, specifications, installation drawings, and manuals Perform quality control inspections on solar field installations Identify installation defects and document corrective actions Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports Ensure all work meets company and project quality standards Communicate quality concerns and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues Promote and maintain safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to walk long distances on solar project sites Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with computers and digital documentation systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Experience Minimum of 2 years of quality control experience required High School diploma or GED Experience in construction, renewable energy, or solar projects preferred Ability to read construction or installation drawings Strong computer skills Why Join Us?
