Job Description

Position Overview:
Dwell Communities is currently hiring an enthusiastic and service-driven Leasing Consultant to become part of our team. We're searching for someone who enjoys connecting with people, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and is motivated to help drive occupancy success. This position is essential in shaping a positive experience for both prospective and current residents, aligning with our commitment to building strong, welcoming communities. While previous experience in leasing or property management is a plus, we are open to candidates with a solid background in customer service. Fluency in Spanish is required, as this role supports communication with our diverse resident base.
Primary Duties:
Welcome prospective residents and determine their housing needs through effective communication and review of guest information. Document all inquiries—both phone and in-person—using company systems. Keep guest records accurate, organized, and up to date. Lead property tours, tailoring each experience to match the prospect's preferences. Guide applicants through the leasing process, including application completion and deposit collection, in line with company policies and Fair Housing guidelines. Track unit availability and manage application processing, including screening and verifications. Submit completed applications for approval and provide timely updates on status. Work alongside team members to ensure apartments are prepared for move-in schedules. Conduct move-in orientations to familiarize new residents with the property and amenities. Assist with lease renewals by distributing notices and following up when needed.
Team & Community Focus:
Interact with residents in a respectful, courteous, and professional manner. Listen carefully to resident concerns and help resolve issues efficiently. Use sound judgment and problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture. Participate in team meetings and offer ideas to enhance engagement. Support and attend resident events and community initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable working with phones, computers, and Microsoft Office applications (such as Word and Outlook). Professional attitude with the ability to remain calm and composed. Able to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting. Spanish/English bilingual proficiency (required).
