Full Job Description Job Title:

Collection Agent Duties:

• Contact individuals or businesses to collect outstanding debts
• Utilize telemarketing techniques to reach debtors and negotiate payment plans
• Conduct account analysis to determine the best course of action for debt recovery
• Utilize accounting software to track and manage collections activities
• Familiarity with revenue cycle management and medical billing processes
• Knowledge of ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and insurance billing practices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection efforts

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet collection targets
• Proficiency in basic math and financial calculations
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze account information
• Previous experience in collections or related field is preferred
• Familiarity with legal regulations governing debt collection practices
