Blow Mold Technician in Training - 2nd Shift

US Weight in Olney, Illinois has an opening for a Technician in Training in our Plastics Blow Mold Department. This is a full-time position on second shift. Core hours are Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:06pm with overtime as needed. The Technician will be responsible for setting up lines and putting away production. This individual will also help with running machines through breaks and lunches, training employees, and performing visual quality checks. Technician duties and responsibilities to be learned will include: Start up and shut down of machines as needed due to production scheduling, mold changes, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot basic machine functions including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic and make repairs as necessitated. Perform mold and tooling changes Complete all administrative tasks such as production reports, set up sheets, and various department communications. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: Basic technical/mechanical skills Previous fork truck experience High school diploma or GED, vocational certification, technical associate degree or higher preferred. Good communication and organizational skills. Post-offer screenings will include a background check and a drug test.
