We are seeking dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-Basics) to join our 911 staffing team. As an essential part of our emergency response network, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pre-hospital care to individuals in need. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on community health and safety while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to emergency calls as part of a 911 staffing team. Assess patients' conditions quickly and accurately, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer basic life support (BLS) interventions as per established protocols. Safely transport patients to medical facilities ensuring continuity of care. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare providers. Document patient assessment, treatment provided, and response to interventions accurately and timely. Maintain and clean equipment and ambulances in accordance with established standards. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing emergency medical services.

Qualifications:

Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic) in Virginia. Valid CPR (BLS) certification. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make critical decisions. Physical ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment safely. Clean driving record and ability to operate an ambulance safely. EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)

Class II Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a 911 emergency response setting. Knowledge of local geography and roadways.
