Job Description
Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position where your expertise as a BCBA will have a meaningful impact on students from kindergarten through eighth grade. In this dynamic role, you'll support two closely located schools, collaborating across both K-5 and 6-8th grade classrooms. You'll serve a caseload of about 40 students, with 5-6 students in each classroom, and will benefit from a highly supportive environment that includes two School Social Workers, multiple Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians, and Special Education Teachers. Your focus will be on guiding and empowering staff members rather than providing direct 1:1 interventions. This allows you to leverage your skill set for meaningful system-wide improvements and to train others for long-term student success.
What We're Looking For:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, current and in good standing Experience working within a school environment, ideally across elementary and middle school grades Strong interpersonal abilities to consult effectively with a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and a passion for staff training Excellent organizational skills to manage a moderate caseload across two buildingsKey Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct Functional Behavior Assessments as needed Train and mentor Behavior Technicians in implementing interventions and behavior plans Provide expert consultation and recommendations to teaching staff and paraprofessionals Collaborate with Social Workers and Special Education Teachers to support individual student needs and foster a positive school climate Review and monitor behavior data, making adjustments to plans as appropriate Ensure all services align with best practices and maintain compliance with district policies Bring your BCBA expertise to a vibrant, collaborative setting, where your guidance helps shape the learning journey for both students and staff.
