Jul 1, 2026 Job Description The Essex Westford School District has an open Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) positions beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This position will provide support to classroom special education teachers in the development of discrete trial programs, verbal behavior, training associated with implementing these programs, and data collection to measure progress; and to assist in the development of behavior intervention plans, and to collaborate on the development of individual education plans that are based on a variety of assessments. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides consultation and intervention regarding behavior management, effective education and assessment of behavioral needs of students with and without disabilities. Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments, or assists in the development of Functional Behavior Assessments. Designs, implements and monitors behavior intervention plans. Develops or assists in the development of Behavior Improvement Plans Serves as the liaison between students receiving special education services and outside providers, private psychiatrists, psychologists and community agencies. Follows students in alternative placements; facilitates transition during referral and reintegration phases. Serves as member of the IEP team for students with behavioral concerns. Prepares written reports as needed by district to outside psychiatric professionals/community agencies re: behavioral concerns of identified special education students.
