Eddy Elementary School and Stony Brook Elementary SchoolDESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OFPOSITION
Support staff in the creation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs), communication of BIPs, data collection, and analyzing data; Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), collect related data, and use this to support students and coach staff; Support and train staff in effectively carrying out FBAs and BIPs; Participate in the student IEP process, including annual reviews, re-evaluation meetings, and initial evaluation meetings; Collaborate with, train, and support teachers, support staff, and paraeducators around student FBAs and BIPs; Be Safety Care trained (or become safety care trained), actively utilize these strategies, and support staff by modeling and utilizing these interventions; Provide professional development around behavioral interventions; Effectively communicate with all members of a student's IEP team, including special educators, general education teachers, service providers, administrators, support staff, and parents; Collaborate with staff on substantially separate programs, including the ASD classrooms and therapeutic classroom, as well as general education teachers and staff in general education settings; Participate in the pre-referral MTSS process as needed; Provide behavioral consultation to support general education students; Assist and support in developing PBIS structures, supports, and programming at both schools.QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed BCBAMA DESE Certification:
Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 Experience working in special education Safety Care trained (the district can provide this training if needed) Effective written and verbal communication skillsSALARY:
Individual contract, 185 days plus 20 days extended school year programAVAILABILITY
