Boarding Manager

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Boarding Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pet boarding facility. In this vital role, you will ensure that all animals receive exceptional care, proper handling, and a safe environment during their stay. Your leadership will foster a positive experience for both pets and their owners, maintaining high standards of animal welfare and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for animals with your management skills to create a welcoming and efficient boarding environment.•The schedule for this position is Thursdays through Sundays, 12-8 pm.• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the boarding team, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality pet care Oversee pet intake and discharge processes, including detailed documentation of each animal's needs and health status Ensure proper animal handling, restraint, and safety protocols are followed at all times Manage feeding schedules, administer medications, and monitor animals for health or behavioral issues Conduct regular inspections of kennels, play areas, and grooming stations to maintain cleanliness and safety standards Provide exceptional customer service by addressing pet owners' questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and empathy Train staff on dog training techniques, animal handling, grooming procedures, and veterinary care protocols to enhance team skills Handle heavy lifting involved in moving kennels, supplies, or equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with veterinary professionals to coordinate pet health checks or emergency care when necessary Proven experience in dog handling, or pet sitting with a strong understanding of animal behavior Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable Extensive kennel or animal handling experience demonstrating proficiency in animal restraint and care techniques Strong background in customer service within a pet care setting Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during daily tasks Knowledge of pet health management, medication administration, and basic veterinary procedures is preferred Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising a team in a fast-paced environment Join us as our Boarding Manager and lead a passionate team dedicated to providing top-tier care for every pet that walks through our doors.
