Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing medications that come through our refill line and assisting with vaccination processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.Key Responsibilities:
Medication Management:
Handle all medication requests that come through the refill line, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols. Prepare and dispense medications as directed, maintaining a clear and organized workflow.Vaccination Support:
Assist in the administration of vaccinations, ensuring proper protocols are followed and maintaining accurate records of immunizations. Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure an efficient vaccination process for patients.Inventory Control:
Manage inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and timely reorders are placed. Assist with the organization and maintenance of the pharmacy area, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Patient Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions related to medications and vaccinations. Educate patients on medication use and vaccination information as needed.Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and vaccination administration, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Assist with the documentation and reporting related to medication management and vaccination programs.Collaboration:
Work closely with the Clinic Manager, Clinical Supervisor, and other clinical staff to ensure cohesive and effective clinic operations.Qualifications:
Licensure:
Active Pharmacy Technician license in Tennessee.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician program is preferred.Certification:
Pharmacy Technician certification (e.g., PTCB or NHA) is preferred.Experience:
2 years of previous experience in a pharmacy setting or clinical environment is preferred.Skills:
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Communication Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient education and support. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our medication management and vaccination processes, contributing to high-quality patient care in our clinic.Job Type:
