Job Description
Boiler & Burner Service Technician Centennial, CO Since 1970, Rasmussen Mechanical Services has been a family-owned mechanical contractor working across the Midwest and Rocky Mountains. We've grown to over 200 people across seven locations, but we've kept the small-shop feeling that's made people stay with us for 20, 30, even 37 years. We're hiring a Boiler & Burner Service Technician for our Centennial, Colorado location. If you're a service tech with a couple of years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting under your belt, this is one of the better seats in the south metro. The Work You'll run service calls on industrial boilers, burners, and the systems around them — gas, oil, methane, propane, and other fuel trains. Day to day, you might be: Troubleshooting burners, gas trains, boiler controls, feedwater units, pumps, valves, and softeners Running diagnostics on motors, solenoids, relays, switches, and other electrical components Installing new boilers, burners, and support equipment Responding to scheduled service calls dispatched by your manager or service coordinator Mobilizing for the occasional emergency when a customer is down (we'll always try to give you advance notice) Stepping in to support HVAC and other RMS service work when it makes sense You'll work both local and out-of-town jobs, with paid overtime for weekends, holidays, and after-hours work. Your truck will be stocked, you'll have a real parts and warehouse operation behind you, and you won't be guessing your way through unfamiliar equipment alone. Centennial is a good base — strong schools, lots of housing options, and the mountains are still right there when you want them. What You Bring 2+ years of documentable mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience Working knowledge of burners and gas trains, boiler controls, and mechanical fluid systems Solid diagnostic skills with motors, solenoids, relays, and switches HS diploma or equivalent Working toward (or open to pursuing) industry certifications and state licenses — we'll support continuing education Comfortable working with customers, vendors, and other field crews Valid driver's license; able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Willing to work occasional out-of-town jobs, weekends, and after-hours emergency calls Working Conditions This is real service work. You'll be on your feet, lifting 50 lbs regularly and 75-80 lbs occasionally , working in mechanical rooms, plant facilities, and active industrial sites. Standard PPE required and provided where applicable. Compensation & Benefits $25.00 - $34.00 per hour , depending on experience Paid overtime Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, life insurance
