Duties Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on boilers, chillers, ammonia refrigeration units, and HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and specialized testing equipment. Conduct system start-ups, shutdowns, and calibrations following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Diagnose complex problems related to plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical components; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime. Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical diagrams for accurate troubleshooting and installation tasks. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Support property maintenance projects by welding, equipment repair, or assisting with construction-related tasks as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, or refrigeration equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R technology is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with plumbing, appliance repair, welding, and general property maintenance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical components effectively. Excellent field service skills with a proactive approach to equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
