Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper-Office Administrator, where your expertise in accounting and administrative support will drive the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization. This vital role combines precise bookkeeping with office management responsibilities, ensuring that financial records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date. The schedule is flexible for hours per day and days per week. Let's discuss options! Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using DIS accounting software, or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry and processing. Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial information. Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, to maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Conduct account analysis and general ledger accounting to support accurate financial reporting and compliance with governmental accounting standards. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and related compliance activities to ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting in financial report writing for internal review or external audits. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, supporting audits and internal reviews with detailed documentation. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software is a plus. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and GAAP standards. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis efficiently. Experience handling accounts payable and receivable processes. Excellent attention to detail with proficiency. Basic understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, financial report writing, and tax compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
