POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the company's day-to-day accounting functions within a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience managing financial processes, and the ability to maintain accurate financial reporting while supporting overall company operations. Construction accounting experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with job costing, subcontractor billing, progress billing, and project-related financial tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience required Construction accounting experience preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Experience with Sage Intacct preferred, but not required Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting Experience managing AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close processes Knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software platforms Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting Track project costs, budgets, and job-related financial activity Coordinate with project managers and company leadership regarding financial reporting and job performance Maintain organized accounting records and ensure accuracy across financial systems Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls Support external CPA, audit, and tax preparation processes
