Position Summary Our team is growing! We're looking for an experienced tax accountant to join and support our team. Must know the ins and outs of running bookkeeping and Quickbooks.

Hiring Range:

$18.00-$30.00; based on experience. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, support clients with monthly, year-end, and quarterly reporting. This role requires strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 , and a thorough understanding of financial and tax accounting principles . You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing returns, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns and other required tax reports. Perform general ledger accounting , monthly reconciliations, and account balancing. Collaborate with clients to collect documents, resolve discrepancies, and provide clear communication throughout the tax process. May support year-end close, payroll processing, and other accounting tasks as needed. Qualifications Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), ProSeries , and Microsoft 365. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping , debits & credits, and general ledger management. Experience in tax preparation (individual, partnership, and small business returns) highly preferred. Familiarity with sales tax and payroll reporting . Bilingual in English and Spanish required to support our diverse client base. Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Skills Experience with payroll systems and reporting. Prior work in a small business or client-focused accounting environment.
